Had the best time painting with my children! The owners are so kind. They seem so patient with children, which I was so thankful for. They have a beautiful selection of all kinds of goodies to paint! What a fun family adventure! We really enjoyed this place! Prices are reasonable and the set up inside is perfect for painting and creating! The staff is a family and they are super sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back to do more! Enjoyed it very much. This may very well be our new family honey hole for fun.
I love Color Clay Cafe. A unique and FUN place to go and paint on clay! The owners are MORE than helpful! Be sure to call and make a reservation! They have very modern pieces too. I love all the plates and bowls. CCF has been around since I was a little. Just love it. Thank you, Michelle for helping me do my child's handprints!
Do not waste your money here if you have a toddler. We went on “kids day” and the staff here clearly do not like their jobs or the paying customers. Constant glares, sighs and eye rolls. I get it, toddlers are toddlers, but maybe lending a hand or making it a fun experience for the kids would be more helpful and appreciated than bad attitudes. Would be a good place for adults, but we will not be back.
I love this place so much! Color Clay cafe is my favorite Zen place forever. They always make me feel at home, answer my curious questions and if asked, will advise on color placement and uses. My best wishes to Michelle and Joe. Thank you so much for creating a place I can find peace.

Called to make a reservation on the weekend and told that I would need to buy a new piece to get a reservation on a weekend. I was not able to finish a piece that I previously purchased because I work during the week. If you want to finish a project, they expect you to do it during the week because they get booked on the weekends. I was not told this before buying an expensive piece. It’s sitting on my counter I finished because I can’t get in during the weekdays, even though they charge a $6 sitting fee. It would probably only take me 15-20 mins to finish the project now, but I can’t get in on a day off without buying yet another piece that I’d be expected to finish the same day in studio. If I’m going to spend my money, then I expect a few sittings to finish a larger project. My family and I have been going there for years, but I’ll be taking my business to Spartanburg. 🤷♀️
Had a blast at Color Clay Cafe. Went with a couple of friends one weekend and we had so much fun painting our pieces.
The staff is very friendly and does a great job explaining the process.
Some of the pieces available to paint are a little more expensive than I expected, but not unreasonable. There are pieces available to fit any budget however. Will definitely be back!
Would really go for 4.5+! Such a fun l'il gem (hidden in a strip mall that's seen better days, which is the only detractor)! TONS of choices of items to paint & nice selection of glazes. Went there for a team building activity for work. Owners were SUPER friendly & helpful. We took our time & didn't feel rushed at all. The prices were very reasonable, too. Will update with pics when we get our fired items back. Can't wait to see them!
